Description
Our Big Skills Challenge is a great way of encouraging your students to build important skills they will need life after school.
The resource offers a checklist of 30 different challenges that build skills and experience while helping students to learn more about themselves and make a positive different to their family, school or community.
Example challenges include:
- Spend a day without technology
- Invent a new game
- Try a new hobby
- Cook a meal
- Do a random act of kindness
The Big Skills Challenge could be used in a variety of different ways including making it time-limited so students race to tick off more than their friends, getting students to select one to complete each week over the course of a school year or perhaps even getting a whole class to complete the set of 30 collectively.
This challenge is predominantly aimed at KS3 but could easily be used with other age groups. The resource is editable in PowerPoint format so you could set some challenges specific to your school.
