Our ‘Impossible’ Careers Crossword is a great summary activity to follow on from learning about careers and the world of work – or could serve as a useful introduction exercise to introduce new language.
The crossword puts student’s knowledge of key careers-related language to the test and helps to open up discussion about some of the more complex terms.
The resource also includes a Careers Glossary providing definitions for more than 50 words relating to the working world. This can be used beforehand to help introduce the new vocabulary, or provided to assist the students in completing the crossword once they have had a go themselves.
The resource is predominantly aimed at KS3 and KS4. Includes a PPT editable version and a PDF version for easy printing.
Please note: the crossword isn’t impossible, but we expect students to find some clues very difficult to solve which can provide an opportunity to emphasise that they still have lots to learn about the world of work!
