A fun and interactive teaching resource exploring Black History through contextualised challenges relating to some of history’s most influential figures and the key events throughout the history of black people.
The resource is designed primarily for use during Black History Month in October each year.
The resource includes:
• Introductory information about the issue
• 3 x Challenges relating to Culture
• 3 x Challenges relating to Historical Figures
• 3 x Challenges relating to Equal Rights
• 3 x Boss Level Challenges (relating to the Black Lives Matter movement)
The activity is designed to last approximately 45 minutes and the content is written primarily for students in Key Stage 3 but covers issues that are also suitable for KS4. The challenges can be completed by students either independently or working in teams.
The resource is downloadable and editable in PowerPoint format so you can tailor the challenges to the specific needs of your pupils.
